April is one of those months where you start yearning for warmer weather. Summer is right around the corner and thoughts of beaches and pools are on people’s minds. Not me though. The only thing I have in mind is how fast I need May to come! April is one of those months where there are too many things to do and too little time to accomplish it.
Savir Blogs: After speaking about how I was being consistent with posting, this month I haven’t posted as much. I realized that when I’m too busy at work it affects my motivation to do any other activity after work. I am trying to catch up so hopefully I can get back on schedule.
Weight: I have been so busy that I haven’t even had the motivation to work out after work. Usually I don’t worry too much about not being able to work out because I get a good walk in during work but this month has been too busy. On a normal work day I am able to close out all my rings on my watch but I’ve been slacking on that. I did get complimented on losing some weight so it looks like my exercises in March worked!
Vacation: I haven’t taken a vacation since June 2021. This year I definitely plan on changing that! A problem that I’m seeing is that flights are expensive now! Flights are double what I usually pay. That definitely puts me at a disadvantage because I would have to save more so I could be able to vacation properly. There is nothing worse than vacationing with a tight budget! The good thing is I have some flight credits that I could use but I know it won’t be enough for all my travels. So far I have plans to go to Texas and California to visit family.
The good news is that although I’ve come across some minor challenges, free time is coming soon. I will be able to go back to my daily walks and a consistent posting schedule. Hopefully by the next life update I will have more positive things to share.
Between January and now I’ve been working towards multiple goals. I’ve developed habits that have given me a bit of structure in my life. It’s also allowed me to get comfortable with myself. I find that doing things on your own grants you the freedom to do whatever you want without the opinions of others.
Weight: The main goal is definitely to lose weight. I know in the past I have said that I wanted to lose 5 pounds but I hope to lose more. I am not exactly sure as to how many pounds because I’m not going by an actual number. This time I’m more focused on how clothes fit me because I have no intentions on buying new clothes. For me losing weight is free, shopping for clothes is not. A way I like to keep myself active is by closing all my rings on my Apple watch at least 5 times a week. I also try to complete the monthly challenges. I was on a 4 month streak but February was a difficult month to complete. Nonetheless, I didn’t get discouraged and I’m more than halfway through my March goal.
Savir Blogs: In case no one has noticed, I have been consistently posting for about a month. Savir Blogs is finally starting to be what I envisioned when I first started this blog – a place where I can talk about whatever I want without belonging to a specific niche. Oftentimes I see people so focused on appealing to a certain audience and for me that just builds more pressure causing me to feel unmotivated. I’m not saying that is not the way to go, I’m saying that does not work for me. I’m just writing about the things that I do in my life.
Social Media: I opened up 2 different social media accounts just to be able to try new things. During late 2021 I felt as though I should invest in bettering my creativity skills. I see a lot of cool things on the regular and I wanted to try and recreate it. The process of recording something, editing, and having a final product has become a form of “me” time. Whether I’m doing it in silence or with music blasting it’s a fun thing to do. I’ve been able to create different types of content that I’ll post at some point. I don’t feel a rush to post or looking to gain a following, I’m just trying to learn.
Overall these 3 things have been what I’ve been focusing on but spring and summer are around the corner. Hopefully I’m able to go out and explore.
Hi everyone! It has been a long time since I have posted. Life got in the way and I neglected this blog. Hopefully, this time around I can do better. My scheduling has improved so I now have time to do the things that I want. I figured I would make my first post back about my current goals.
Savir Blogs: Of course this blog would be first on the list. I have updated my Flowers collection so check it out! Coming up I have some beauty related content in mind. I placed an order for Sephora’s beauty sale that I want to tell you guys about and I have been wearing my natural nails so I decided to share my nail health progress as well.
Weight: I want to lose 5 pounds. Last year I was very focused and ended up losing 10 pounds. Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep the weight off because food is just too good! This time around I’m only interested in losing 5 pounds and I don’t have a set date by when I want this to happen. I’m taking my time by being conscious of what I’m eating but not making a big deal if I have junk food. I also have been slowly getting back to indoor cycling and walking to help me burn the calories at my pace.
Tattoos & Piercings: Yes, I am getting older in age but I do not have enough body art or piercings. My goal is to have 3 new tattoos and a nose piercing by June!
Vacation: I haven’t had a vacation in over a year. Once I get vaccinated I’ll feel comfortable traveling again. I cannot wait for this! Traveling does wonders for my mental health and not being able to travel last year really sucked!
Now that I have manifested my goals I’m ready to work to achieve what I want!
