Wow! It definitely was not my intention to have Savir Blogs on the back burner. Real life definitely took over! So since I last posted I had a list of goals I wanted to accomplish, it’s only right that I update you on my process or lack thereof.
Savir Blogs: I updated my Newark collection. One of the pictures was used for my job’s Instagram page and it received good feedback. It also served as inspiration to other people so I thought that was cool. I still have beauty related content in mind, just not any hauls. I’m thinking maybe a makeup collection post or empty pan post.
Weight: I have not lost the 5 pounds that I wanted to lose. I did however improve my eating habits. I’ve been watching my portions and being mindful of how often I eat junk food. I find that I feel much better after meals. I haven’t started to work out and honestly I’m currently not motivated enough to begin.
Tattoos & Piercings: My goal was to have 3 new tattoos and a nose piercing by June. I accomplished this! I got 3 tattoos in one sitting. Some might think that’s a lot but the tattoos are on the smaller size of the spectrum. The pain was tolerable, even the one on my ankle. I also got my right nostril pierced. Although I did tear up when the needle went in, the pain was less than what I expected.
Vacation: In June I went to Las Vegas with my brother. It was extremely hot with over 100 degree weather but it was fun. Neither my brother or I are gamblers so we spent the majority of the time walking the strip, buying drinks, and shopping. I tried to plan a family trip to Houston but I was not prepared for all the accommodations I had to take into consideration! I haven’t decided when I’ll start planning that again.
Overall I’m not too disappointed with my goal update. I accomplished 2.5 out of the 4. Now that it’s the best time of the year, I think I’ll have time to focus on achieving the in progress goals.
Hi everyone! It has been a long time since I have posted. Life got in the way and I neglected this blog. Hopefully, this time around I can do better. My scheduling has improved so I now have time to do the things that I want. I figured I would make my first post back about my current goals.
Savir Blogs: Of course this blog would be first on the list. I have updated my Flowers collection so check it out! Coming up I have some beauty related content in mind. I placed an order for Sephora’s beauty sale that I want to tell you guys about and I have been wearing my natural nails so I decided to share my nail health progress as well.
Weight: I want to lose 5 pounds. Last year I was very focused and ended up losing 10 pounds. Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep the weight off because food is just too good! This time around I’m only interested in losing 5 pounds and I don’t have a set date by when I want this to happen. I’m taking my time by being conscious of what I’m eating but not making a big deal if I have junk food. I also have been slowly getting back to indoor cycling and walking to help me burn the calories at my pace.
Tattoos & Piercings: Yes, I am getting older in age but I do not have enough body art or piercings. My goal is to have 3 new tattoos and a nose piercing by June!
Vacation: I haven’t had a vacation in over a year. Once I get vaccinated I’ll feel comfortable traveling again. I cannot wait for this! Traveling does wonders for my mental health and not being able to travel last year really sucked!
Now that I have manifested my goals I’m ready to work to achieve what I want!
I recently went to get my nails done and I let Sonia, my nail lady, freestyle. I typically stick to natural solid colors with no designs so my only input was the pink powder. When she told me that she was going to add glitter I didn’t know what to expect since I find glitter to be too girly for me. At first I thought that the glitter was too chunky but once she buffed and filed it it looked much better.
I must say that these nails remind me of Barbie, especially the glitter ombre nails. Even with the Barbie pink I actually like these nails. The added rhinestones are also much more in my lane of simplicity. This was my first time letting Sonia completely freestyle. Usually I go in with an idea of what I want and she puts her twist to it. But regardless of whether I know what I want or not, Sonia never disappoints me! She gets my nail style which is why I always go back to her.
