If you know me then you know that I am a sucker for anything fraud related. Whether it be an organization committing the fraud or an individual, I will be interested in it. When I saw the trailer of “The Tinder Swindler” I knew I had to watch it. It was an added benefit that it was from the producers of “ Don’t F*** with Cats.”
Simon Leviev, a man from Israel, would meet women on Tinder and swindle them for money. The documentary tells the story of 3 women that fell for his lies: a diamond heir being chased by enemies so he couldn’t use his own finances to go about his business. These women would open credit cards and loans in their name to fund Simon’s lavish lifestyle. He was exposed in an article in a Norwegian newspaper catching the attention of one of his girlfriends. This girlfriend, Ayleen, is my favorite person in this story. She got her revenge on him and I found it so funny how she swindled him out of money!
For me, it was interesting to see how a man was able to scam normal women for allegedly $10 million. He had no regard for the livelihoods of these women. Like how can you ask your significant other to pawn their car or sell their house? He definitely did have a good run until he was caught on unrelated charges. I think he got lucky that he was released early and I do wonder if he is up to his old games since he is still flaunting a lavish lifestyle.
Back in January I mentioned that I was going to be trying new things. After much thinking and coming up with all the details I decided that I would invest in my creativity. For this reason, I decided to create a separate social media account where I could post things that my family and friends on my personal account wouldn’t understand.
I introduce SB Vibezzz as my creative outlet where I experiment with picture and video editing. SB Vibezzz will feature unboxings, unbaggings, beauty, and food. I posted a short Reels on a whim when Instagram tried to block my account for suspicious activity a day after opening the account. Since it did well, not really sure how, I decided to keep it.
What does it mean for Savir Blogs? Increased content! The things that I post on SB Vibezzz translate to a blog post with more details that most people don’t bother reading on Instagram. But it won’t just be content from SB Vibezz on here. I also have life updates, reviews, and anything else that I feel like posting.
Both Savir Blogs and SB Vibezzz are my way of bettering myself and hopefully there are people out there that can relate. Give me a follow so you won’t miss out. Let me know that you’re from here so I could follow you back!
I love nails! I have my nails done 98% of the time. That 2% represents when I’ve taken off acrylics, press ons, or nail polish. In the Reels above you see my 2021 nail journey. I stuck to regular nail polish and acrylic nails for the majority of the year. It wasn’t until October that I started wearing press ons. The acrylic nails are done by my nail lady while the regular polish and press ons are done by me.
I discovered ILNP nail polish late 2020 so the majority of my nail polish colors in the beginning of 2021 were that brand as I learned the best way to make the manicure last. When I switched to press ons in October I expanded my size range. I prefer small sized press ons because they’re less likely to pop off but I found some medium sized ones that gave me added length without the worry. I dipped into the large sized section and I learned that they’re not that practical because of my line of work. Although pretty, they are not as durable.
I would say that my nails were pretty good last year. I definitely branched out in designs and got plenty of compliments.
I’m not a football fan but I always tune into the Super Bowl. This year I definitely made sure I reserved the living room tv because I wasn’t missing the halftime show. As a relatively new English music listener back in the late 90s early 00s, these were the artists that I gravitated towards too. When I saw the commercial promoting the halftime show a couple of weeks ago I was excited because it is by far my favorite time in English music. Going into the halftime show I wondered how they were going to fit everything into 15 minutes.
After watching the show, I can say that I enjoyed it but it could’ve been better. I just felt like it was too short! I would’ve liked to see Eminem perform more than one song and “No More Drama” by MJB felt like it didn’t belong. Overall, I did appreciate the set design. I thought it was fitting to have the City of LA as the backdrop. Dr. Dre was the maestro because he produced for all the artists on the lineup. My favorite part of the performance was hands down “Still D.R.E.” From the choreography, dancers, and all of them coming together in the end, I can rewatch that part over and over again!
I’ve shared a 2021 recap that features some random moments of the year. Going back in my camera roll looking for pictures to include was like reliving all the good and bad moments that I experienced. It also gave me a chance to reflect on the current state of my life.
The last couple of months have been taxing on my mental health. This year I decided that I will just do things for myself. I’m not one for New Year’s Resolutions but this year I decided to give it a try.
In the first week of the year I have started to develop a routine that will allow me to stick to my goals. I’m not one to share my goals when it comes to doing new things but the couple of times I’ve mentioned new ideas, I’ve realized that some people just don’t get it. In the past, the opinions of others would deter me from trying new things but now I don’t care. I’m doing things for me. It is my solo adventure.
